 We were ask by our clients Oil Spill Response to arrange a Christmas function for the staff, the company take a lot of pride in this annual event and wanted something classical, a venue with style, grand entrance and a contemporary edge
Having previously worked and Winchester Guildhall for other clients, I knew that this Grand Old Winchester venue ticked all the boxes, a grand entrance, classic elegance and just needed a little make over to give it a contemporary edge.
So we took away the venues old fashioned chairs and hired in more elegant ones in silver with blue seat pads, lowered the vast roof space using stretched sail fabric hung giant inflatable stars in the vaulted roof to give it a more intimate feel. We then used UV lighting effects, large twinkling black star cloth to cover the end walls and behind the stage.

Working with our lighting designer created moving patterns colour washes on the walls and vaulted ceilings we even used lighting in the table centres to create the contemporary look the clients wanted.
As part of the event we arranged our own DJ and fun event photography booth in the foyer the clients enjoyed excellent dinner and drinks service from the venue.
Our event manager was with the client’s right from concept to completion and assisted and advised on everything from high value raffle prizes, Goodie bag production, coach travel, table planning, menus for two guests with very specific special diets.
