We were recently asked to assist with the opening ceremony of the Marchwood Power station in Southampton. The new power station was being opened by Lord Smith of Kelvin Chairman of Scottish and Southern Energy and Mr Loclann Quinn the chairman of ESB Electricity Supply Board (ESB).
Wessex Events took care of the hospitality side of the event on behalf our clients allowing them to attend to their guests knowing we had the hospitality covered - providing tea coffee, croissants, canapés, drinks and arranging logistic elements to converting the venues board room, into a presentation space. We bought in quality chairs, tables, waiting and cloak room staff, official photographer and recommended another local company to handle for all executives car travel arrangements.

While the VIP guests enjoyed a presentation and tour of the plant and carried out the official opening ceremony, our team re-arranged the room from presentation layout and re-dressed the room ready for the lunch reception
Our chefs Richard and Sarah worked hard in the kitchen created fantastic canapés and our front of house staff did a great job,
We received many appreciative comments from the VIPS and our clients, including the chairman of Marchwood Power, Mr Graham Juggins who came down to the kitchen to thank our chefs and staff personally and commenting on the high quality of the catering and our team’s service.
